In Room 6 this week, we have been involved in a range of activities to learn about ANZAC day and what this means to us. We have read stories, designed our own 'Poppy Field', began creating a 'ANZAC Puppet Pals' video and finally, we all wrote a piece of writing about a hero in our life. To display this work, we tea-bagged it to make it look antique. We think they look amazing!

Bike Safety Awareness Week

We were very lucky to have Jono (who is part of the New Zealand Police) come into our school yesterday and talk to us about how to use our bike safely. We learnt about the correct signals to use when biking on the roads, as well as the different parts of a bike. At the end, we enjoyed some time zooming around the courts to show off what we had learnt!

What a great start to Term 2! Today we had Jack, from the Taranaki Rugby Union, come into our school with the ITM Cup that Taranaki won last year! Here is a fantastic photo with everyone in our school, let's hope Taranaki can win it again this year!

Easter Activity

Before Term 1 ended, we decided to complete one more Easter activity and we are now able to show you the end result! Miss Schreiber took our photo and we had to pose as if we were hatching out of an egg. Then we all designed our own egg and Miss Schreiber put all the different parts together. We are all very impressed with how they all turned out! In addition to completing this, here is a photo with our hatching chicks before we all went home for the holidays.

Hope you have all had a fantastic break and are ready for the exciting challenges and events Term 2 has to offer!
